Large bisque head character doll by Kestner with brown closing eyes, open mouth with 2 teeth and jointed composition body. Dressed in an elaborate lace trimmed dress with matching bonnet, plus knickerbockers, socks and shoes. Height 27". Impressed marks 'Germany' (indistinct) and JDK 257. CR; vertical crack line at back of head, with small chip along it, near impressed makers mark- see photo
