Cornelius Varley (1781-1873) - Two drawings of children of the Sparrow family to include: 'Master Sparrow, Gosford (1808)' and 'Miss [Milicent] Sparrow (1808) afterwards, Lady Mandeville, Dutchess of Manchester' daughter of Brigadier-General Robert Bernard Sparrow, she married George Montagu 6th Duke of Manchester in 1822, the two drawings are mounted together and each sheet measures approx: 12 x 16 cm; together with two framed mezzotints of members of the Sparrow family: Brigadier C.E.H. Sparrow engraved by Francis Grant (1803-1878) president of the Royal Academy c.1850, signed and inscribed below; and John Sparrow, Esq. engraved by S.W. Reynolds after the portrait by William Owen RA (1769-1825), frame dimensions: 87 x 56 cm (3)
