A collection of 5 early 20th century German bisque head character dolls, all with composition bodies and visible damage to faces of bisque heads; includes bent limb baby doll 60cm tall marked 'Simon & Halbig 126 62', with closing, side glancing eyes, open mouth with teeth, and a voice box, in white smocked dress, an Armand Marseille doll marked 995 A10½M with blue closing/ side glancing eyes, rosy cheeks and open mouth, height 65cm, wearing a period white dress and cap, a doll by Schoenau & Hoffmeister with blue closing eyes height 48cm, a doll with plaited hair, indistinct impressed marks and brown closing eyes height 49cm, and lastly a doll with jointed limbs, part soft body, closing brown eyes, pierced ears and fair hair, impressed marks SH 1079-DER 9, height 55cm.
